Enjoy a spectacular four days – and be part of it with us

THE Tall Ships Race is one of the most eagerly-antici-pated events in Liver-pool’s Capital of Culture celebrations – and the Daily Post aims to put you at the heart of the action.

Four days of activities will take place from July 18, when the ships’ arrival is officially marked, to the actual start of the race on July 21, and thousands of onlookers are expected.

More than 70 vessels from more than 30 nations will assemble along the Albert and Wellington docks for the four days, with plenty of entertain-ment at various venues. We want to capture the incredible sights and electric atmosphere of this world-class event on our liveblog – a real-time account in words, photos, sound clips and video.

Liverpool Daily Post editor Mark Thomas said: “The success of our other liveblogs – especially the Royal Visit and the Liver-pool Sound concert – shows just how much our readers enjoy helping us report the big events.

“The Tall Ships Race 2008 is going to be a truly spectacular four days and we want to give everyone the opportunity to contri-bute.”
