A PIT bull attack has left a young man with life-threatening injuries after the animal was deliberately unleashed on him in a Liverpool park.
The powerful dog was told to attack a 20-year-old man in Breckside Park, near Townsend Lane and Lower Breck Road.
Police are now investigating the incident which began with the young man and two friends being assaulted at about 7.10pm on Monday, June 30.
The assault was then followed by the dog being set on them.
The 20-year old suffered bites to his face, legs and body. Another of his friends received a broken jaw, and all the men received bite marks.
All pit bulls have to be muzzled in public and kept on a leash.
One of the offenders is described as 16 to 18 years old, around 5ft 3in-5ft 4in, of skinny build, very short hair. The second is in his mid 20s, around 5ft 8in, of stocky build, black bushy eyebrows and olive skin.
The third is in his mid 20s, around 5ft 8in, with a red coloured face, of stocky build.
