Liz Meek, the regional director of Government Office North West, said: “Liverpool’s Local Area Agreement has been held up as an outstanding example and has received the highest praise from the Government.
“The LAA will now form the basis for the long-term improvement of the lives of thousands of people in commu-nities across the city in line with the strategic direction which the LAA gives.”
Liverpool First director Carol Perry added: “The agreement is a critical part of the city’s overall ambition to deliver sustainable and successful communities.”
