How the strikes will affect local services

UNISON'S public sector strikes will hit services in every local authority in Merseyside.

Below is a list by local authority of what will be closed, when and where over Wednesday and Thursday. The list starts with Liverpool and subsequent pages include Sefton, Halton, Knowsley, Cheshire, Wirral and St Helens.

LIVERPOOL:

Schools: At least 16 schools and nurseries will be fully closed due to the industrial action, and another 11 partially shut - this represents 15% of schools in Liverpool.

The schools and nurseries which are fully closed are:

The Trinity Primary School.

Wavertree Primary School.

Secondary

Childwall Sports College.

Special

Abbot's Lea School.

Millstead School.

Ernest Cookson School.

The following schools are partially affected by the industrial action:

Primary

Gwladys Street School - one nursery class closed.

Mab Lane Primary - nursery closed.

Middlefield Community Primary – Year 1, 2, and one class each in year 5 and year 6.

Much Woolton Primary - one foundation class closed.

Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary - nursery closed.

Smithdown Primary - nursery closed.

St Michael in the Hamlet Primary - infants and nursery closed.

St. John's Primary School - nursery closed.

Stockton Wood Primary - foundation stage closed.

Wellesbourne Primary - nursery closed.
