PASSENGERS were evacuated from Moorfields station in Liverpool at the height of yesterday evening’s rush hour after the activation of an automatic fire alarm.
The alert was sounded at 5.45pm, and meant 10 trains on both the Wirral and Northern Lines did not stop at the station.
It is not known what triggered the alarm.
