Stun gun man told he may face jail

A MERSEYSIDE man has been warned he faces jail after admitting possessing a stun gun yesterday.

Richard Bradshaw pleaded guilty to having the prohibited weapon at Liverpool Crown Court.

The weapon, which was disguised, was found in Bradshaw’s bedroom when it was searched by police on May 30.

Bradshaw, 33, of Vincent Road, Lither- land, spoke only to confirm his name and enter his guilty plea.

His barrister Peter Killen said it had always been Bradshaw’s intention to plead guilty.

Despite having no previous convictions, Bradshaw was warned the maximum sentence was 10 years.

The Recorder of Liverpool, Judge Henry Globe, QC, told him: “I am sure it is clear to you that it is likely I will impose a custodial sentence.”

Judge Globe adjourned sentencing until August 7.
