MERSEYSIDE parks have won a national award for excellence.
The Green Flag was awarded to 14 parks in the city for outstanding results in all aspects of green upkeep.
Doric Park, in Old Swan, received the award for the first time, and 13 others, including Everton and Croxteth, renewed their Green Flag status.
The Green Flag is a government initiative administered by the Civic Trust.
