Row over pyjamas led to attack

Liverpool Crown Court

AN ALCOHOLIC attacked another woman over an argument about pyjamas.

Gemma McQueen, 30, was drinking at a friend’s house in Halewood when she got involved in a confrontation with Leanne Coward-Daly over the item of clothing in October, 2007.

Liverpool Crown Court heard she attacked Ms Coward-Daly with a cup, cutting her head.

Judge John Roberts suspended a 16-week prison sentence for 18 months, placed McQueen, of no fixed address, under supervision and ordered her to attend a probation programme.
