Autographed Beatles postcard expected to sell for £3,000

A RARE postcard signed by all four Beatles following a Liverpool performance is going under the hammer next month.

The Parlophone Records postcard was autographed by the Fab Four after they played a concert at Liverpool Empire on May 26, 1963.

Each band member’s signature is clearly legible, as are sets of kisses from John, Paul and Ringo, but not George.

The Wirral-based owner has been told by experts that it will attract bids of up to £3,000 when it is sold in Halls fine art auction house in Shrewsbury.

Stewart Orr, Halls’ collectibles expert, said: “There is no doubt whatsoever about the authenticity of these autographs, which were obtained before The Beatles were really famous.”

Included in the same lot as the autographs are the ticket and programme from the concert that also featured Roy Orbison and Gerry and the Pacemakers. The owner is from the Wirral.

The items will be lots in a toys and collectibles sale on August 8.
