THE Tall Ships coverage by Liverpool Daily Post readers was sensational.
Hundreds of pictures were uploaded to our online Flickr pages capturing everything from the awesome hulks to the minutiae of spectators’ reactions.
The vast number of additions this week has been dominated by ships and nautical goings on.
Paddypix’s surreal encounter between mast-top sailors and the Liverbirds is a good representative of these contributions.
While almost every square inch of the Mersey docks was packed out last weekend, Flickr user Clandestine managed to take a tranquil shot of Perch Rock Lighthouse. A caption that accompanies the photograph marvels at the quiet.
Meanwhile back in the hubbub of the city, Baz Baziah clambered to the top of the Three Graces to take some aerial snaps of Liverpool and the docks.
But the people of Liverpool make up some of the most fascinating subjects uploaded so far.
Crossroads, taken by Something Wicked This Way Comes, is a lovely example.
The Johnny Depp-a-like busker is wistful and the image balances sober blues with a clever splash of colour in the guitar strap.
You can view all the photos at www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/flickr, or upload yours at www.flickr.com/groups/liverpooldailypost08.
A Flickr contributor will have their landscape composition used as a Postcard on the letters page each Friday.
