Boat race extravagana will transform Liverpool’s Marina
FIREFIGHTERS were among the crew of a Dragon Boat launching Liverpool Marina’s boat show this weekend.
The first event of its kind, the boating extravaganza will this Sunday transform the marina.
There will be a dragon festival race, boat rides, Sea Cadets parade, barbecue and carvery during the day before the day concludes with a hot buffet and dancing.
Liverpool Yacht Club will run a race and dinghy display, power boat rides will be available alongside pirates and face-painting.
The fun day will also include a team of firefighters who will enter the dragon boat race ahead of the World Firefighter Games taking place in the city later this summer.
