Impression of Cube nightclub, at the Concert Steps development (300)
A LIVERPOOL warehouse is being turned into a 2,000-capacity night-time hotspot as part of a city centre regeneration scheme.
The city’s first purpose-built club for many years, Cube, will open on August 28 and is the initial phase of the Concert Steps development to be completed on Seel Street near Concert Square.
Once finished, the four-storey build will have a capacity of 2,000 people and will consist of four bars, two nightclubs, a VIP lounge on the top floor, an outdoor rooftop terrace, a cafe bar and restaurant.
The regeneration project, which will link Concert Square with the gateway to Liverpool One, involves the creation of a pedestrian route from Fleet Street to Seel Street.
Around 150 new jobs have been created by the opening of Cube and it is hoped the development will bring money into the area.
Cube owner Alan Rogers said: “This is the first purpose- built club in Liverpool for years, I think its arrival will revolutionise nightlife.”
