IT IS business as usual at Cains brewery this morning, according to its owners.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Post last night, Ajmail Dusanj, who runs the company alongside his brother Sudarghara, said their Stanhope Street site, in Toxteth, would be running as normal.
The brewery is facing a winding-up petition from HM Revenue and Customs due to an unpaid tax bill.
And last Friday (August 1) it appeared Cains had lost its fight for survival after the Bank of Scotland rejected its turnaround plans.
But the brothers have vowed to fight on and say it will be business as usual this morning(Mon Aug 4).
Last night Ajmail told the Daily Post: "We are opening as normal and trading as normal – there’s no question there.
"We are fighting and we’ve got (Liverpool Riverside MP) Louise Ellman - she’s working on it from her hotel room in Washington. She’s doing all she can there.
"We are at the Great British Beer festival, so our beers are still all over the place."
