CONSERVATIVE leader David Cameron is heading for Wirral next week as he hosts the latest “Cameron Direct” event.
The Conservative Party leader is inviting residents to quiz him, face to face, at his first public meeting in the borough.
Wirral’s three prospective Conservative candidates, Jeff Clarke (Wirral South); Leah Fraser (Wallasey) and Esther McVey (Wirral West) are organising the event and are keen for people to attend and put their questions to David Cameron.
The event is free and takes place at Weather- head High School, Breck Road, Wallasey on Thursday August 14 between 6-7pm.
Cameron Direct is open to anyone who lives in Wirral. Mr Clarke said: “We’re really pleased David Cameron is coming to Wirral. It’s a great opportunity for everyone – whatever their politics – to come along and raise their issues, questions and concerns with him.
“For too long, the needs and concerns of Wirral have been ignored by the Government, and this open meeting offers the perfect chance for people to get the answers they need on the issues that affect them most.”
The event is free and open to all local residents, but seats must be booked in advance. To apply, people should e-mail their name and address to wirral@ northwestconservatives.com
