LIVERPOOL council leader Warren Bradley last night once again urged Everton FC to stay in the City of Liverpool.
The Everton season ticket holder called on the club and Tesco "to come to the table" and work on proposals within Liverpool. Cllr Bradley sayshas identified three loca- tions which he thinks merit a closer look.
"I call upon Everton FC and Tesco to come to the table. Let’s identify a site and let’s work up a proposal that we can put forward for planning without it being called in."
The first site is around the much talked-about tunnel trumpet site off Scotland Road, but link- ing it to the nearby Pro- ject Jennifer develop- ment around Great Homer Street, which has recently.
Last week the Daily Post revealed how the £150m project Jennifer scheme had hit trouble after developer St Modwen and Tesco had broken off negotiations.
Cllr Bradley said a scheme might be possible with Everton FC and Tesco around this site, although Everton have always dismissed the tunnel trumpet site as unviable.
His second suggestion was Long Lane in Aintree, which he has also previously floated.
He said the council could quickly move forward with devising a masterplan for the area.
The third option he suggested was derelict sites around the busy Edge Lane – some owned by Isle of Man developer Albert Gubay.
