ADVERTS go out later this month so Cheshire Constabulary can replace the outgoing chief constable.
Peter Fahy has been appointed to take over the Greater Manchester force.
Peter Nurse, Chairman of Cheshire’s Police Authority, said: “During his five years as Chief Constable in Cheshire, Peter Fahy has been very successful in developing the Constabulary and reducing crime levels, all of which has made a real difference to the people of Cheshire, police officers and staff.”
Mr Fahy will start his new job on September 1. The Police Authority would now start the process of finding a new Chief Constable and hoped to make an appointment later this year.”
