A 20-YEAR-OLD man was shot in the leg in Kirkby yesterday afternoon.
The incident took place in the area of Valley Park. The man, who is from the Kirkby area, was admitted to hospital at around 2.30pm with a wound consistent with that of a gunshot to his leg.
Although the motive is unclear, police believe it was a targeted incident.
A MAN was shot in the chest and another slashed across the face in an attack in a Toxteth street.
Police were called to Upper Warwick Street after residents heard gunshots at around 10pm on Sunday. Both victims had left the scene when officers arrived, but they were later traced to the Royal Liver-pool hospital. Police said the attack was targeted.
