THE transition to an academy has not stopped more students achieving three A grades or better.
Last year, 24% of girls achieved three A grades or better, which has jumped to 31.2% this year.
The school is celebrating a 100% pass rate, with 41.3% gaining A grades, 74.3% A-B grades and 92% A-C grades. In maths, 100% of students got A or B grades and the school is sending two students to Cambridge.
Vice Principal Ian Irwin said: “We’re very pleased, considering we are going through a transition stage into an academy. We’ve had major building work and lots going on, so to achieve such good results is fantastic.”
