A MEMORIAL concert for murdered schoolboy Rhys Jones takes place tonight.
Thousands are expected at the Echo Arena Liverpool for the event, with a line-up of Liverpool talent including Spice Girl Mel C and ex-Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton.
The evening will end with Tony Christie singing Amarillo, one of the 11-year-old’s favourite songs.
It is nearly a year since Rhys was shot dead near his Croxteth Park home.
Proceeds from the concert, which also features Jimmy Tarbuck, Stan Boardman and a host of Liverpool TV and radio celebrities, will go to the Liverpool Unites fund.
