BEAUTIFUL shots of Merseyside are still flooding the Daily Post’s online photo-sharing site, Flickr.
The region’s photographers continue to capture everyday scenes with stunning artistic flair.
The first, by Maddie Digital, shows an oil tanker passing opposite New Brighton while families walk and play.
The use of black and white adds atmosphere, and the contrast between industry and nature is quite striking.
However, colour is what makes our second image so special. Snapped by SieC, it captures an unnamed street at sunset. The red tones make an ordinary scene seem magical.
And Flickr user jimps123 montages Liverpool’s rain-sodden streets with the Liver Building, to brilliant effect.
Over the summer, the site has been full of shots capturing Capital of Culture events.
Thousands of photographs have been posted on the gallery, set up to chronicle your creative interpretations of 2008.
All can be viewed at www.liverpool dailypost.co.uk/flickr and adding your own is easily done at www. flickr.com/groups/ liverpooldailypost08
