CHIEF Constable Bernard Hogan-Howe will launch his third annual Challenge Dragon Boat race tomorrow. (Fri)

The race is part of a Merseyside-wide Force Youth Engagement Programme and has links with the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme.

To launch the event, this year the Chief Constable's team will take to the water themselves to race last year’s winners, the Paddling Ducks from St Helens, as well as a team made up of police cadets.

They will join 22 other teams, each made up of 17 young people aged between 10 and 19 from across the City Region.
