Celebrating city’s walls with arts

A MUSICAL milk float, interactive video projection, a swarm of insect lanterns and a “world of wool” are among the artworks and performance pieces featuring in Chester’s Up The Wall arts event.

Created by Chester Performs, it has become an annual celebration of the city historic walls in light, sound and art.

Andrew Bentley, Chester Performs’ Project Manager, said: “Up The Wall is a tremendous event which really drew people’s imagination last year.

“It was so special because Chester at night is a magical place.

“With art and light adding to the magic, the 3,500 who made the trip saw the walls, one of the City’s most famous features, in an entirely different light.”

Up The Wall takes place between 7pm and 10pm starting tonight (Thursday October 2) and continuing on Friday and Saturday, October 3 and October 4.
