Man admits knife killing

A MAN has admitted fatally stabbing another man.

Thomas Lythgoe denied murdering Michael Wiseman-Grue, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Mr Wiseman-Grue, 41, was knifed in the stomach during a disturbance at a house in Jubilee Drive, Kensington.

He was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital where his injuries were initially not considered to be life-threatening.

But his condition deteriorated and he died five days later, on May 18.

Lythgoe, of Carisbrooke Road, Walton, was due to stand trial next week, but when he appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via video-link from HMP Liverpool he admitted the killing.

He will be sentenced on November 7.
