Hospital walk-in centre secured

A NEW walk-in centre for Clatterbridge Hospital has been secured, local MP Ben Chapman said last night.

The new facility has been approved in principle by the Urgent Care Network, with the aim to be implemented by December 31.

The decision comes following a petition set up by Mr Chapman which was signed by more than 1,350 people and presented to Parliament on Wednesday, April 23, 2008.

Mr Chapman said the new centre will be vital for the well-being of Wirral South residents.

He added: “I would like to thank all those who took the time to sign the Walk-in Centre petition.

“In doing so, they have helped me to influence the implementation of this service.”
