FORMER Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon urged children to brush regularly and go for dental check-ups over the weekend.
The Merseyside starlet was the special guest at Dental Showcase, the highlight of the dental world’s calendar. She ad- mitted to once being “ter- rified” of trips to the den- tist, but her mother got round that by offering music tapes by PJ and Duncan – the Tyneside teen pop duo now better known as Ant and Dec – as conso- lation. Liz, who recently triumphed in Celebrity Masterchef, told delegates: “Having a good smile is such an important thing. I was terrified of the dentist when I was a child, and my mum had to bribe me to go.
“But I’ve always gone for check-ups – it’s something you just have to do – and now I’ve got a really lovely dentist in Liverpool.
“He makes everything so comfortable, it’s great. I take pride in my teeth – I look after them and they’re one thing I really am proud of.”
