Loyd Grossman (158)
LOYD GROSSMAN, culinary masterchef and one-time chairman of National Museums Liverpool, was back in the city last night.
Mr Grossman, who quit earlier this year after three years at the helm, delivered a heritage lecture to a packed-out St George’s Hall.
Entitled Dealing with the Heritage Dilemma, he outlined the impor-tance of conserving our historical and cultural artefacts, places and buildings.
Mr Grossman, 57, spoke as chairman of the Churches Conservation Trust and the University College for creative arts.
He returned to the city as part of Liverpool John Moores Universi-ty’s Roscoe Lectures.
Lord David Alton, of LJMU’s Foundation for Citizenship, which hosts the lecture series, said: “Loyd Grossman has a unique insight into the role heritage plays in enriching our lives.’’
