Dancing fun for school embracing the sounds of Spain
RAFA BAA-NITEZ helped launch a special day of Spanish lessons and dancing at a Liverpool junior school.
The popular Superlambanana is one of the iconic creatures that has stayed in the city after an auction.
New owners Lacy Roofing of Parliament Street picked it up at auction and yesterday loaned it to Blessed Sacrament Junior School, Walton.
The school has taught Spanish on a weekly basis for two years and has become a centre of excellence.
Over the next two years the school will be supported by an advisory teacher and Spanish Assistants to develop their own teaching of Spanish, to raise the profile of Spanish Culture and forge links with schools in Spanish speaking countries.
To launch the school’s status there were Pasa Doble dance workshops for Years 5 and 6 pupils with Dance Passion.
