David Moyes, Bill Kenwright
EVERTON chairman Bill Kenwright was tonight said to be flying overseas to finalise a deal to sell the club.
Media reports tonight claimed a deal with an overseas buyer was at an advanced stage.
It is thought the club will sell for around £180million.
This would include taking over Everton's debt of about £65m - a £25m total of securitised debt and a £40m overdraft.
The identity of the buyer is not yet known, but a stipulation is thought to be that every director was happy to sell.
The new buyer is also said to have sought assurances that Everton's move to Kirkby will go ahead.
Reports say the buyer is not Indian billionaire Anil Ambani, who has been consistently linked with club.
Kenwright confirmed earlier this year that he was looking for a buyer who can pump the money into the club which he thinks is needed to enable to compete with the Big Four.
But the rumoured deal comes just days after UEFA and FIFA spoke out against the growing trend of foreign ownership in the Premier League.
