AROUND 20 years of Liverpool musical history can be seen in a new book which collects the work of acclaimed photographer Mark McNulty.
Pop Cultured features 300 photographs, including iconic images of The La’s, Echo & The Bunnymen, Arctic Monkeys, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, and The Who.
It also celebrates the current crop of Liverpool talent including Pop Levi, Candie Payne and Ladytron, the latter being photographed on a recent visit to Shanghai.
The images are combined with Mark’s own comments, along with contributions from some of his subjects.
The Liverpool-born and based photographer has worked for a number of international magazines, and has also had several exhibitions over the years.
He said: “Over the more than 20 years I’ve been working as a photographer, I’ve seen how the music scene has developed in the city.”
A selection of Mark McNulty’s pictures will be on display until the end of November at Microzine, in Bold Street, from where the book is also available at £25.
