A DELEGATION from Liverpool John Lennon Airport is setting off to Malaysia to attend The World Route Development Forum.
Described as “speed dating” for businesses, hundreds of airports will meet around 300 of the world’s major airlines at the annual event at Kuala Lumpur.
The forum, which runs from tomorrow until Tuesday, gives airports the opportunity to explore route development opportunities with airlines.
John Lennon Airport will be promoting its capabilities to prospective airlines and highlighting Liverpool’s economic regeneration, inward investment and tourism growth.
It has 40 meetings scheduled with airlines across Europe, Asia, USA and the Middle East to explore potential new flight connections and will host a stand at a major exhibition at the event.
The Mersey Partnership is accompanying airport personnel.
