A SLOBBERING sex attacker with a distinctive tattoo of a green frog on his wrist is still being hunted by police, four months after he assaulted a 13-year-old Wirral girl.
Merseyside Police last night reassured the local community they were doing everything in their power to catch the sex offender who struck in Pasture Road, Moreton.
The teenage girl was sat at a bus stop beside the Coach and Horses pub at about 5.30pm on Thursday, June 19.
She was approached by a man who kissed her and then indecently assaulted her.
There were other people at the bus stop who then boarded a bus leaving the girl with the man.
The attacker took the girl to a local fish pond, within the grounds of the Cadbury's factory site, on Pasture Road, where he forced her to the floor and indecently assaulted her.
He eventually let her go after she repeatedly asked to go home to her mother.
The man was seen to go to Moreton train station and caught a Liverpool-bound train.
Det Insp Dave Grisenthwaite said: “I can assure the people in the area that we are doing all we can to find the man responsible.
“It was a busy time of the day around Moreton Cross and I would appeal to anyone to help us identify this man.”
The man told the girl his name was Les and he was from Liverpool. He is described as white, between 30 to 40 years and he slobbered when he spoke.
He was of average build, had short greying hair, a wrinkled face with stubble, and was wearing a blue track suit and training shoes.
The man has a green frog-shaped tattoo on the back of his left hand, and was wearing a gold watch on his right wrist. He had stained yellow fingers.
Anyone who recognises the description or has any information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 2265, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
