POLICE in Knowsley will have the power to take under- 16s home after 9pm over the Halloween and Bonfire Night period.
Powers to help crackdown on anti-social behaviour will be implemented from 5pm until midnight from next Tuesday until November 8.
The new designated area legislation will allow police to disperse groups of two or more and return under-16s home if they are unsupervised in a public place after 9pm. If they return to the same place within 24 hours, they can be arrested and prosecuted.
