LIVERPOOL is to receive a share to £13m of government funding to set up intervention projects to help stop youngsters getting into trouble.
The Intensive Intervention Projects (IIPs) will be set up between now and 2011.
Ministers claim evidence shows these types of projects are effective in turning around the lives of young people and their families.
The projects are aimed at challenging young people – and their parents if necessary – to do better, as well as support them.
