Liverpool students mount new top-up fees protest

STUDENTS will take to the city’s streets this morning on a London bus to protest against university top-up fees.
Union members from the city’s three universities will join a national day of campaigning for an “open and honest” debate on fees.
Members of Liverpool Guild of Students, John Moores Student Union and Liverpool Hope University Student Union will ask the public to support them.
The protest follows the announcement last week that grants for students starting next year will be cut.
