Raid nets £¾m drugs haul

ABOUT £700,000 worth of drugs have been seized in Huyton.

Officers from Operation Hawk, with Huyton dedicated staff, executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, at an address in Pennard Avenue.

During the search, amphetamine with a street value of £700,000 was recovered, together with a mixing machine, a vacuum sealing machine, drug bags and scales.

Two 44-year-old men from the Huyton area have been arrested and are in police custody.

Detective Inspector Tom Keaton, from Huyton, said: “This is a very significant seizure of drugs, and it will have a profound effect on drug supply in the Knowsley Area.

“This operation forms part of the Chief Constable’s vision of a Total War on Crime.”
