THE merger of two Merseyside law firms is being celebrated tomorrow evening.
Southport-based Brown Turner and Liverpool’s Malcolm J Ross announced they were joining forces in August. Employing 40 professionals, Brown Turner Ross (BTR) will specialise in family and commercial law, property, trusts, probates and wills.
They will mark the merger with an event in their Granite Building offices on Stanley Street, Liverpool.
BTR will also operate from an office in St George’s Place, off Southport’s Lord Street.
The firm has more than 120 years’ legal experience, and prides itself on offering clients face-to-face contact with its partners.
Samantha Bushell, one of BTR’s partners, said: “We are a forward-thinking organisation, providing a sharp, honest and intelligent service.
“We believe the merger has seriously strengthened our service offering with the introduction to a matrimonial law division allowing us to do exactly that. To succeed, organisations need to adapt in order to provide a superior standard of service, become more competitive and grow their market share.”
Partner Kevin Ross added: “We were looking to expand into matrimonial law here in our Liverpool office, and the merger with Brown Turner was the natural step to take. We now have the benefit of their many years of experience at our clients’ disposal.
“In turn, we can now offer our highly reputable property law services to an already established client base in Southport.”
