Robbers grab cash bound for bank _100
ROBBERS escaped with a “substantial amount of cash” after two customers were threatened outside a bank in Liverpool yesterday.
The incident occurred outside the Lloyds TSB bank in West Derby Road, when three robbers approached two men.
A scuffle ensued and the offenders managed to make off with a holdall and a substan-tial amount of cash.
One of the victims received minor cuts and bruises and both were left shaken after the incident, at around midday.
The men ran off and turned left into Silver-dale Avenue, where they got in a black Volvo which travelled towards Green Lane.
The first offender was white, around 22 and about 5ft 8ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood.
The second offender was described as black, and around 20 to 25 years. The third offender is described as white, about 6ft tall and wearing a red jacket.
