LIVERPOOL students will be protesting in the city centre today against ID cards for international students.
They will join Manchester University students in the protest outside the Home Office in Water Street.
From today, all international students renewing a visa will have to visit the office in person to apply for an ID card, and to be placed on the National Identity Register.
Guild of Students president Danielle Grufferty, said: “It simply criminalises international students, and thereby populations, in an increasingly Orwellian state.”
