LIVERPOOL-BORN TV presenter Neil Buchanan, of Art Attack fame, joined girls from the Archbishop Blanch school on Otterspool promenade to celebrate the DVD release of Disney movie WALL.E by building a picture of the waste-collecting robot out of recycled material.
It was the UK’s first advert made entirely out of rubbish, to reflect the eco-theme of the critically acclaimed animated movie, which went on sale this week. Sarah Hogarth, of Liverpool Culture Company, said: “It’s great that Neil is marking Culture Year with a fantastic piece of art with a positive recycling message.
“Capital of Culture’s legacy year is the Year of the Environment, so it’s fitting for Liverpool to be the venue for a massive picture of WALL.E.”
