TEACHERS at a Woolton school are striking this morning after claiming they are being bullied by the headteacher.
Up to 60 teachers – about two-thirds of the teaching staff – at St Julie’s High are expected to strike and not turn up for lessons.
The NAS/UWT union insists the mass walk-out is a last resort.
They are taking the action after allegations of “overburdening” management at the girls’ school, run by Sister Ann Marie Gammack.
Merseyside NAS/ UWT executive member John Peat said Sister Gammack had refused to discuss the issue when teachers complained.
He claimed Sister Ann Marie also told teachers she “would not be offended if you found new jobs” if they disagreed with school policy and banned staff from giving the caretaker a lift.
