Gunpoint robbery accused in court

A WIRRAL man accused of robbing a couple at gunpoint has appeared at Crown Court.

David Mousley, of Wastdale Court, Moreton, is alleged to have carried out the armed robbery at a lovers lane in Wirral.

The couple – a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman – were parked at the junction of Pasture Road and Leasowe Road when they were forced to hand over a wallet and a handbag at gunpoint.

Mousley, 37, is charged with two counts of robbery and one possession of a firearm with intent to rob.

He spoke only to confirm his name, but did not enter any pleas.

Mousley was remanded in custody until a further hearing on December 16.
