NW alert for driver

A DRIVER suspected of killing an 11-year-old boy in a hit and run in north London may have fled to Merseyside, police said yesterday.

Possibly driving an older model BMW, the suspect could have driven north up the M1 after the crash.

The car is thought to have hit Michael Richard Martin McDonagh, known as Richie, as he crossed a road on November 29. Richie was then hit by another car, which did stop, and later died from head injuries.

The BMW sped away towards the Brent Cross area of London.
