A 76-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital last night after being run over in south Liverpool.
Paramedics suspected he suffered a broken hip and thigh.
The pensioner was knocked over near the junction of Riverbank Road and Aigburth Road, in Grassendale, at around 4.40pm.
Police closed part of the road while an ambulance made its way to the scene.
Officers say no-one was taken immediately into custody.
The man was taken to the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
