Man’s 400,000 child porn pictures

A WATERLOO man has admitted hoarding nearly 400,000 obscene images of children.

Horrified officers seized the collection – the biggest ever found on Merseyside – when they searched the home of Michael Morgan.

Morgan, 26, had started hoarding the obscene pictures when he was just 17.

But he was caught after the FBI were tipped off about a child abuse website being run by US citizen Edward Harvey.

Accounts revealed Morgan had paid $49.95 to access Harvey’s site for 30 days.

FBI investigators in San Francisco alerted Merseyside Police, who searched the home Morgan shared with his parents on Hastings Road.

They seized 13 computers, CDs and folders containing images.

Morgan, now of The Gleeb, West Lothian, admitted 25 counts of making indecent photographs of children between January, 2000, to June, 2005.

Investigators say although Morgan was a prolific collector there is no evidence he distributed any of the pictures.

Judge William George bailed Morgan, who will now have to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register, while reports are carried out. He is due to be sentenced on January 23.
