SECRETARY of State for Culture Andy Burnham returned to Liverpool yesterday to pay a visit to a city centre exhibition and speak to young people involved in cultural activities.
Mr Burnham came to the city to see progress being made on Find Your Talent, a major government project aimed at encouraging young people to get involved in cultural and creative activities.
During the day, he was given a tour of Fact’s new interactive sound exhibition Ding Dong, trying out the futuristic instruments on show before viewing a film made by a group of young people and taking part in a discussion exploring their hopes for the Find Your Talent project.
Liverpool is one of 10 cities involved in the £25m pilot scheme from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and other organisations.
