TWO armed men entered a St Helens bank yesterday and threatened staff, before making off with a “substantial” amount of cash.
The men, white, six feet tall and with local accents, carried out the raid in the Lloyds TSB branch on Ellamsbride Road, at 4.30pm.
Staff have been left “extremely shaken” by the incident, say police, but no-one was hurt.
