KIRWANS have chosen a trio of paintings by Merseyside artists to deck out their offices on Water Street.
The firm worked with renowned local gallery dot-art on the purchase and rental of three images of notable Liverpool landmarks.
The works chosen by Kirwans include an impressionistic take on the Liver Buildings by Paul Francis, a watercolour of the Mersey waterfront by Chris Millichamp and an oil painting of Liverpool’s historic docks by Roy Munday.
The dot-art gallery, in Queens Avenue, off Castle Street, Liverpool, represents about 100 Mersey painters, photographers and sculptors.
Lucy Byrne, one of the gallery’s directors, said: “Kirwans’ commitment to Merseyside artists is much appreciated. It is also indicative of firms increasingly recognising the power of art to do more than merely look good but also inspire and motivate staff and clients.”
Partner Michael Sandys said the paintings underlined the firm’s support for Merseyside art.
He said: “We selected images which reflected our surroundings and they have certainly generated admiring comments and appreciation both from staff and clients.
“It’s very important to us to put something back into our local community.”
