A MAN was taken to hospital after being shot on a Liverpool street last night.
The 27-year-old was blasted in the leg at around 6.30pm on Eastern Avenue, Speke.
Police were called to the property and the victim was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
A police spokesman said: "His condition is said not to be life- threatening and he is currently helping police with their inquiries."
Crime scene investigators attended the scene, house-to- house enquiries were carried out and high visibility patrols were stepped up in the area.
Police are treating the incident as a targeted attack and are "actively seeking the person responsible".
