WEATHER experts warned Merseyside’s freezing temperatures were expected to continue until the weekend.
Yesterday was thought to be one of the coldest days of the year. Temperatures plunged to -8C (18F) in Formby early yesterday morning, while in Liverpool city centre temperatures fell to -5C (23F).
