Fir Tree pub is renamed

THE former Fir Tree Pub, in Croxteth Park, has been given planning permission for alterations, including a new smoking shelter and new fencing ahead of its reopening.

The pub’s name has reverted to the Stand Farm.

It received nationwide attention after 11-year-old Rhys Jones was killed there.
